OK, for my dd not me. She's 11 and needing a bra. She measures just over 25 inches under bust and just over 26 at fullest point (which isn't very full!). She's wearing 28aa, but says they are too tight. What would you suggest?

Just bumping this for you - hopefully a bra guru will be along in a minute Smile

Thanks furball

Technically she needs a 24B, but there's no such thing, closest available from the specialist site Made In Preston would be 26A, but I suspect even that wouldn't fit properly, because the smallest of differences are magnified when the band is so small. She might be better off with a crop top type, assuming you haven't already tried them?

Did you get her to bend over for the leaning measurement?

Letthemtalk · 20/11/2014 19:55

There is no way that a 24 would close on her. Crop top it is! No she didn't lean over for the second measurement, trust me it wasn't necessary!

If she tries the bra on back to front to see how the band is then

because if the cups aren't big enough they steal it from the band so it ends up too tight Smile

Feeling a bit thick, but why does she need a bra if she's 11 and aa?
Only for cover really and crop tops or basic sporty bras should do it.

Furball · 21/11/2014 08:10

Lewji - She's measuring as a b cup

She is currently wearing a too tight aa......

Not really furball - she's got a 1" difference between under and overbust which is an A. You have to look at sizes either side when you have an odd numbered underbust measurement which is why she could in theory if such a thing existed try a 24B however, for slender women it's rare to need to go down in the band especially when there is no need for lift/support as such. The most likely fit would be a 26A/AA but again they don't really exist.

TBH, I think a crop top is all she needs at the moment as a 1" difference is very petite. I'm not sure why her current bra feels tight, but sizing in teen range bras can be all over the place
