Buying from US with help?

I am looking at Michael Kors bags (I know they're Marmite and quite chavvy but I've got a bee in my bonnet and want one) and they are soo much cheaper in the US.

The one I fancy is the zip top Jet Set but in burgundy. It's £220 here but $248 in the US which is about £157!

Has anyone used a personal shopper or forwarding service for US to UK? Does it work out good value and do you have to pay tax?

Thanks in advance for any advice / recommendations.

Some US websites, Macys, Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, ship to the UK. Some do it via Borderfree which calculates the shipping and duty for you. Try them. Michael Kors is widely stocked in the US.

Thanks helza - I just went through checkout process with Bloomingdales where the bag is £167 - duties and taxes and shipping make it £213 - not worth the £7 saving.

Will have to wait for the sales...
