HD brows. How much maintenance do they need?

I have a gift voucher for local beauty salon and quite fancy having a go with these. I can't afford lots of return visits for maintenance though. Once you've had them done, can you deal with the upkeep yourself.

It's basically just waxing/threading and tinting, so yes, will need re-doing as quickly as your eyebrows grow back.

Melted - it's not really much different from a normal eyebrow shape. They just do it in a very prescribed way - by measuring angles from your nose etc - rather than just by eye as your average salon would do it.

They also use eyebrow tint usually which gives a very defined look but fades over time - doesn't need upkeep though.

So basically if you pay attention and tweeze regrowing hairs as they come through, you can maintain the shape of your HD brows.

I've had HD brows done a few times and would really recommend it.

If you didn't get them redone/tweezers the stragglers would you get horrid straggly brows, or would they just return to their natural shape? (I ask as a brow virgin with naturally OKish shaped brows...)

If you keep on top of it you can maintain the shape.

But no, if you leave it, they just regrow. It's just like normal hair removal. The threading/waxing of eyebrows removes the hair at the root. It generally doesn't destroy the hair follical so will regrow.

Having said that eyebrow hair seems to be more "sensitive" than other hair and vulnerable to non-growth/destroying hair from over plucking. But the occasional brow shape won't cause this. It's more from aggressive, amateur tweezing over years.

Personally, I would recommend HD brows. It's a good way to start with an eyebrow shape because you know what you are getting. It's very systematic so you will get a classic shape that suits you because its measured to your face.

Otherwise, you are in the hands of a random beautician who may be good or may not be. It's more of a punt.
