Esprit Sizing and Quality

Are Esprit clothes a generous or small fit? For example, would a jumper sized Large fit a UK 12/14?

Would the quality of the clothing be similar to that of Mexx or Oasis?

Some of the clothing looks lovely. I just haven't seen it in the flesh. There is one Esprit shop I know of but it isn't that close to where I live so I might just be ordering online.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'd say true to size. Not small like French/Italian brands but not huge either. Quality is good.

true that the quality is good. But I find clothing a bit big for the sizing. I bought a black v-neck winter jumper about 5 years ago, and it is bobble free, still thick and warm and in just as good nick. Their work shirts are good quality too, nice and thick.

Unfortunately there aren't any or many standalone shops in the UK anymore. The are widespread in Germany.

Their leather shoes and bags are great too.

....I love Esprit Blush

The quality of their EDC line, aimed at a student market, isn't great but their regular stuff is good. If you look at the size guide on the website it often tells you, based on reviews, about the fit of a particular item.

I find they run a bit big, so you might need an M (but depends on particular jumper and how you want it to fit too). I wore an S in Esprit when around UK size 10-12. Also, I'm fairly short and their clothes seem to be cut for much taller people.

Their size guide which says runs big/small/true is quite accurate I find although I don't get on with their trousers at all!
Quality is good, I love their knitted dresses

I ordered a coat recently for £120 but found the quality was poor considering the price. I quite liked the style & fit but couldn't justify that price.

Do they have a discount code right now??

Shopgirl1 · 11/11/2014 17:21

Sizing slightly generous. I find their quality excellent, much better than Oasis.

OwlCapone · 11/11/2014 17:23

I would say they are generally true to size - if you check the fit guide on each item it will tell you what customer feedback has said about it. Quality is excellent IME.

sergeantmajor · 11/11/2014 18:29

I'm quite a fan. The size is always as expected, the quality is good for the price.

I think good quality for the money although saying that I've had a few bits that have shrunk from there, knitwear usually which is annoying, despite following washing instructions.
