Styling a denim shirt

Why does it look wrong on me? Have 2 are fairly fitted, I do have big boobs and bit of a tummy, probably classed as apple shape. Dh agrees it's not a good look, said I looked like a butch lesbian can see what he means. Do I need bigger baggy shirt? Baggy tops normally make me look bigger or am I just the wrong shape?

I too have boobs and bit of a tum,size 12-14. I wear a slightly fitted one ,with the top couple of poppers and the bottom one left open, with a thin vest/cami underneath. its the only way I don't look like a sack of spuds!

What are you wearing it with?

I've got a lovely one from Zara that's been sat in my wardrobe for 2 years now because I cannot figure out how to wear it.

Wear it undone with a simple striped top/Breton underneath. Or a slouchy grey v neck t-shirt (mine are from Top Shop). I also add a chunky gold necklace. Wear with boyfriend jeans, or skinnies and boots.

Thanks for the suggestions. Today I'm wearing with a black vest underneath and have only done up the two middle poppers, I've also turned up the sleeves twice. Looks so much better. Also got black leggings on, with brown knee high riding boots. Will probably add a big scarf and chunky cardi if I go out. Don't worry the shirt is bum covering. Will try the Breton suggestion also.

i wear mine with black skinnies
sleeves partially rolled up
and either fully done up
open with a hip length (white or black/)vest underneath
short knitted round neck sweater on top
