Dress length for 'black tie' do.

I am attending a black tie dinner next week and am painfully short of decent clothes as I hardly go out anymore.

It is a work thing so don't want to splash out on a new frock.

I do have a fab Karen Millen black and white knee length dress that I love.

Is this ok or do I need to be more 'evening' and less 'cocktail'?

Sounds perfect. With black tie, my only suggestion is going a bit sparklier with jewellery if your dress is short.

I think anything goes these days.
