Eyeliner

I know there s been treads in this before. I need to replace my eyeliner s and mascara due to an eye infection.
What eyeliner do you recommend for day time / night time
Will need a black inky one and a more subtle one for day (previously had Bobbi brown and mac pots found them only 'ok'

I just bought two Avon eyeliners off Ebay and they are rather good. They are kohl but in a pen form with a fine tip.
