Bronzer help

MrsFlorrick · 01/11/2014 15:36

Need a bronzer which isn't too red. I find most of them have far too much red pigment in them.

I need one that's actually light brown IYSWIM.

Also prefer mineral/natural non- silicone products.

Also don't want anything too sparkly.

Clearly moon on a stick type situation. Grin

Hope you can help. Thanks

How about a face powder a couple of shades darker than your skin?

BiancaDelRio · 01/11/2014 15:46

You need This

I'm super pale and hate obvious bronzer. This stuff is really light (in shade 51) and subtle and works brilliantly. And it smells gorgeous.

Guerlain - expensive but lovely on all skins.

MrsFlorrick · 01/11/2014 16:33

Carpaccio. I've tried that and it hasn't quite worked. Perhaps I need to go darker than 2 shades?

Bianca. Choccy face powder. GrinGrin Fab!

Wordfactory. Guerlain sounds good. Not tried theirs. Is it very shimmery?
I'm looking for something which isn't too glittery.

Bobby brown is no shimmer good for shading

MrsFlorrick · 01/11/2014 16:51

That sounds great. Am off to google Bobbi Brown one.

Any suggestions that are mineral based and don't contain dimethecone? I am allergic to it and so far it's come up in two of the suggestions.

Nars Laguna.

Leans a little olive, not a single speck of sparkle.

SofaCanary · 01/11/2014 17:59

Oh sorry, just read about you being allergic to dimethecone, that probably rules out Nars.

It must be so difficult, that stuff is in everything!

Body Shop Honey bronze bronzing powder is fab! It's as good as a Guerlain which I paid about £35 for. It was on Model Recommends blog and I'm on my 2nd one now. A few different shades, no sparkle and always on offer online!

I adore the Aerin 'pretty bronze illuminating powder'. I think I came across it in a Sali Hughes column and I've worn it every day since I got it. A bit of colour, and it just makes me look so much better instantly. www.esteelauder.co.uk/product/9262/22696/Product-Catalog/Aerin-Beauty/Essentials/Pretty-Bronze-Illuminating-Powder/index.tmpl

Guerlain Terracotta is the original and best bronzing powder. There is a shade for every skin nowadays. Invest in the Guerlain brush - it lasts forever (wash it in Woolite and hot water once a month).

Diorskin nude tan is brilliant

WowOoo · 02/11/2014 09:03

I have a matt Mac one that I've been using for years.
I love it and I don't think it's red at all. No idea about dimethecone.
