Face scrub

Hi,

I'm in need of a new face scrub. I need quite a harsh almost sandpapery one. Just bought an Olay one, but it's too smooth and creamy. So, any recommendations for a very scrubby face wash to get rid of my flaky bits? No particular budget in mind.

Thanks!

St Ives Apricot Scrub. It's like sand! Really good for exfoliating.

Why would you need a sandpapery face scrub?? Sounds harsh

quesadillas · 31/10/2014 11:21

Anything too smooth leaves my face looking dull. The harsh ones make it look better.

I'll have a look for the St Ives one.

Have you tried the oil cleansing method?

Casmama · 31/10/2014 12:41

This is amazing for brightening up your complexion and not harsh if used as recommended.

BiancaDelRio · 31/10/2014 12:46

YY to the St Ives one.

It is pretty harsh so I only use it once a week but my god does it make your face look and feel brand new!

Don't buy the Body Shop Vit E one or their Vit C Microdermabrasion scrub. Both pants.

Body Shop Vitamin C one is pretty scrubby. Soap and Glory Scrub your Nose in It is good, has a deceptively smooth texture due to the pumice being ground fine, but is really effective. Don't like to preach, but avoid scrubs with Polyethylene "microbeads" in the ingredients, it gets into the water system and is bad for animals.

Eeeeek Casmama Peter Andre has that on his desert island beauty list Shock

I love Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Face wash.

DH likes St Ives but I find it waaay too abrasive for my face

Casmama · 31/10/2014 15:56

Oh FFS, that's almost enough to out me off Grin. It is good though and I first heard about it on here not from PA.

Ditch the scrub and get an olay regenerist skin buffer. It's great. Others reviewed here:

Superdrug Vitamin E is good! The St Ives one wasn't that good imo

Thurlow · 31/10/2014 16:08

Another vote for St Ives. It is like sandpaper. I love it.

tess73 · 31/10/2014 16:12
