Getting rid of hyperpigmentation on my face

I changed to a new birth control pill at the beginning of the summer as was slow to realise that it was giving me brown patches ony my face - hyperpigmentation. I've changed pills now and always wear sunscreen but what can I do to get rid of them?

I have one big patch the size of a 20p and the rest are much smaller but there are a lot so it makes my whole face look a strange brown/orange colour whereas I am usually very fair. They have faded a bit in the last couple of months but I am worried that they are going to stay permanently.

Is there anything I can do? At home facial-peel type things? Or a fading cream?

I also get spots so don't want to use anything that would make that worse either!

Thanks

Hi, Maybe IPL (photofacial) would be an option? It can be used for sun spots / freckles, rosacea etc. I've had it for pigmentation and am really seeing the results after just 2 session.
