I need a pair, preferably not suede, relatively cheap.

See any?

yes yes yes!! the ones I linked to from eBay. I bloody love mine. wanted cheap in case I didn't like them (wasn't totally sold on the idea of Chelsea boots). thinking if I do like them, I could replace with a more expensive pair. but these are perfect and a bloody steal! choice of colours too.

let me dig out the link. I have brown and am tempted to get a black pair too

I bought a pair of ex-display Carvela Kurt Geiger brogue black Chelsea boots for £40 on eBay recently, they are lovely, box price £150

Office have 20% off across everything this week, loads and loads of choice of chelsea boots online.

They are lovely Pompbear - I like the brown, but they don't have them in my size. Grrr. I can't believe they are real leather at that price! Wow.

I've not managed to get to Sainsbury's for a while. Probably sold out there, too.

Have a look at TK Maxx if you're near one. They had loads of pairs of real leather for £30-40 in my local one recently.
