Make up - help!!

My daughter is getting married in 6 weeks and I want to look fab on the day obviously!
Budget won't stretch to have professional make up done so I'm looking for a really good foundation that will last all day and give me a flawless finish. I have normal to slightly dry skin.
Also looking for fab mascara! I don't wear a huge amount of make up ( as you can probably tell!) usually just bit of tinted moisturiser and lipgloss.

Please help!

Revlon colourstay foundation doesn't shift, in fact it's hard to remove

Clinique naturally glossy or the Rimmel dupe in the black tube (not waterproof though)

Thanks

Try to revlon but not sure how good it will be on dry skin.

Giorgio armani luminous silk is wprth a go (get a sample) as is Lancome teint idole ultra... neither are cheap though. Dior mascara is very good and long lasting.

Have you thought about getting your makeup done at a counter? Many will give you product to the value of the makeover.

Sorry for typos! Toddler on knee

Book yourself a mac makeover, take a couple of pics of the look you are after. It costs £25 (or did a few yrs ago) and you can spend that £25 on products so it's not wasted.

Buy a few key products like foundation and lipstick and recreate the look with the rest of your makeup

That sounds a good idea. Always been a bit nervous of the make up counter ladies!! But will give it a go!!

I would imagine it might be the same cost (and you will feel better) to pay someone as to buy a kit - could you ring local beauticians for offers?
Have a lovely day

I have normal to dry skin & love Dior Star foundation. Stays put all day & gives excellent coverage.

Lancome tient idole 24h foundation applied with a real techniques stippling brush - gives a really good finish and lasts for ages. Best mascara I have found for not smudging is Estee Lauder doublewear.

I better get a waterproof mascara! bound to shed a tear- I'm such a baby!!!
