There was another thread on this recently. Some people said that they have the Boots No 7 version and liked it just as well. I recently bought a Boots No 7 thingy and I guess it's OK. I would hope that for the money, the Clarisonic would be better - bigger variety of brush heads would be nice, I guess. But they're probably very similar in terms of results.

Anyway, I don't know what I was expecting from the device. It is definitely good for prepping the skin for mask treatments or serums, etc. I would hesitate to do it too often.

save your money and use a cheap sonic toothbrush. lidl and aldi often have deals.

GlaceCherries · 26/10/2014 11:34

I bought the clinique one and have really liked it. Then saw the thread about the Boots / Olay?? one and wished I had tried that (much cheaper). Anyway, the Clinique one seems to do a good job keeping my skin super clean feeling, spots clear up much faster using it. Brush head replacements are £20 a go though Sad

The Clarins lady did a very complicated and drawn out test on the back of my hand involving cellotape to show me how well it cleaned. I insisted on doing a control test with just the products and she was mortified when the results were the same.... As such I won't be parting with my money for it!

sillymillyb · 26/10/2014 11:36

Sorry I mean Clinique! The Clarins lady didn't attempt to do anything to me with cellotape Grin

SavoyCabbage · 26/10/2014 11:42

I've got one and I love it. I don't know how it compares to the other ones but I imagine they are all much the same.

WildBillfemale · 26/10/2014 14:14

I have the clariosonic mia, I like it.
I don't use it every day as I like to clean the brush head properly each time and it's sometimes a faff.
I think the best bit for me is the relaxing feeling it gives when used across your forehead, eases the frown lines after a hard day however cleansing wise? I have exactly the same results with a hand held manual facial brush.

Put it this way I like it but if it broke I wouldn't replace it.

Greengardenpixie · 26/10/2014 14:29

...interesting...im also liking the cheap toothbrush idea!!

Wouldn't it take rather a long time with a toothbrush?

Pompbear · 26/10/2014 20:24

I find it easier around my nose. I had a clarisonic - I dropped it in the bath and couldn't face spending more, so I dug out an old toothbrush - there is NO difference!Smile

MadameOvary · 26/10/2014 23:08

Yay! I was wondering about using my sonic toothbrush too!
All excited now!
(Yes, I lead a full life)

Pompbear · 28/10/2014 07:29

clarisonic = emperor's new clothes!

mowglik · 28/10/2014 07:35

If you know anyone in the us, or going there you can get it much cheaper. I got it delivered from Amazon to my OHs hotel when he was there and got it for £66. At that price it was worth it for me, like pp have said a toothbrush would take ages! Skin does feel more polished and brighter and if you have problem skin this may be more useful..

Clarabumps · 28/10/2014 07:45

I had one but I sent it back. My skin is oily and is acne prone and it made it truly awful. It looked like someone had thrown a vat of oil over my face. I've had better results with a double cleanse using a balm and a flannel. Not worth the money in my opinion. I'm sure there are people it works very well for but I was not one of them unfortunately.

Marylou2 · 28/10/2014 08:24

I have the Clarisonic Mia and over the last 2 year I've had clear, evenly textured skin. It does an amazing job and has cleared up all the blackheads round my nose that I struggled with for 20 years. Money well spent.

Blamenargles · 28/10/2014 08:38

just a heads up about the clinique one its nothing like a clarasonic, clarasonics head moves where as the handle just vibrates on the clinique one.

also the clarasonic is a patent product

lots of testers of the clinique brush has said it does exactly the same as a face cloth and isnt wprth the money.

PrimalLass · 28/10/2014 10:32

I like the Clinique one. It definitely works better than a face cloth for me. I'm not sure it was worth the money, but it is making me take better care of my skin.

Reviews on Sephora

hydeparkhottie · 28/10/2014 12:49

Hi ladies,

I was given a clarisonic a few years ago as a gift from my son...Well, it was fun to use but nothing amazing...and the heads are expensive to replace.

I have just started using the foreo, and I find it better. Although for the price I don't think it does better than an average washcloth.

I like using a washcloth the most.

ZaraW · 28/10/2014 13:57

Have been using my Clarisonic for two years now, I love it, my skin has never been better no longer get spots and skin is extremely smooth. I got mine from the US and its well worth it. I would definitely repurchase when the time comes to replace.

DrElizabethPlimpton · 28/10/2014 14:02

I have the face and body clarisonic. (Thanks to lots of John Lewis vouchers for birthday). I really like it. My skin feels wonderful afterwards. It is £££'s though
