May I recommend this ELF eyelid primer...

Hiya,

Had bought a Bobbi Brown eyelid primer. Within a very short time, I was scraping the barrel, twenty quid down. Not impressed.

Thought, which one shall I try next? Decided to google for the best recommendations.....

No 1 seemed to be this £3 product from ELF, who, I have never heard from. Bought online Thurs, it's arrived today - and it's GREAT?

A little goes a long way. It needs tapping in, and a bit of smudging. But essentislly my eyes are no longer red on the eyelid, a little stretched all the way around the inner corner of the eye....and my face looks much better. It 'sets' as well.

So I am straight on here to recommend it to others, who like me may not be up on these things!

I've got the elf mineral primer which I like better that the urban decay one.

Downside of elf is you have to buy a lot to get their free p&p or discounts, and a lot of stuff I bought from them isnt so great .

Any other budget recommendations? I just find the UD one got under my eye and made fine lines look like a ploughed field Grin

I love Elf eye primer and their glitter eye primer is good too, I love their face primer but I found the pump was crap and stopped working halfway through the bottle

On your recommendation got one on Amazon for £2.82 with free postage.

Makes my eyelids sting. I use the Avon one.

I love the elf one, much better than Urban Decay imo, I always have a spare bottle in case I lose or break it.

Their blush/bronzer duo and some of their make up brushes are great too.

But my fave elf products are the eyelid primer and eyebrow kit (wax and powder, I've tried many and it's the only one I could find that suited my pale skin and didn't make me look unnatural)

The Barbara daly eye primer is worth buying.
Not as good as Mac but much cheaper.

I find putting foundation on my eyelids to have much the same effect as the smashbox one. I liked the Superdrug MUA one in the past which is similarly priced to ELF I think.

VenusRising · 26/10/2014 11:03

I love elf stuff. Their mascaras are brilliant and their lippy is as good as Chanel, and only a quid.
Face primer is excellent and eyelid primer is also super.

Don't go near the 200 colour eyeshadow palates and you'll be ok!

Elf one is on my list to try.

Hated the Mua one, creased terribly on me. Currently using the Barbara Daly one which is fab.
