Work/office shoes?

Can anyone suggest some good work shoes for me please? I want to wear them with slim black trousers but I have wide feet and aren't great with heels (I fall over Smile), and they need to be up to walking across an often wet/muddy playground whilst clutching hold of two small children when I do the school drop off on my way to work. I have looked at loafers in Clarks but aren't sure... Thanks!

Looking for something very similar. I have a 25 minute walk to work - frequently raining - and hate having to carry extra shoes in to work to change into.

Have you tried shoe boots? So that they have a bit of a heel but are more enclosed than your 'normal' high heel - so much easier to walk in....

I have some heeled brogues which seem to succesfully combine being stylish and practical at the same time!

I've seen them in different heel heights, but mine are similar to these, with a slightly narrower (but still block) heel.

My comfiest shoes are Russell & Bromley loafers (there's loads, so you can choose the type that are most 'you '). I got mine in the sale, so although not cheap, they came down to affordable. I've had them for nearly a year and they still look perfect.

There's some really really comfy black wedges at asda of all places atm.

I saw someone at work with them and she said they were so comfy I went out and bought them today! they look so much more expensive than £20 and they are perfect for the colder weather.

I got some quite nice ones in Aldo the other day. They are black wedges with a round toe. They were £60 and had a choice of leather or suede. They look really smart and are very comfy.

I bought a pair of Clarks shoe boots with a wedge heel last year following MN S&B advice. They have been so comfortable. I wear them with slim trousers and with thicker tights and dresses. I have 45 minute walk to work and I need comfy shoes too.

If the weather is really bad I wear UGG boots and change at work.
