Stockings not Hold ups

Does anybody know any shops that sell opaque stockings?

I can find them online but I want to go into a store to buy some. I also want stockings, sometimes holdups chaffe my thighs so I need a break from them.

I've seen them in some M&S stores, and John Lewis. Also try wedding shops.

Ah, no wedding shops probably won't sell black stockings, but you didn't specify that. Specialist lingerie shops? Burlesque or RockaBilly place? Some shops which sell online also take stalls at festivals/expos rather than have permanent premises.

Debenhams sell online, so might also sell in branches. Do you have an old-fashioned department store nearby?

Have just seen BHS and House of Fraser recommended, and, perhaps surprisingly, Primark!

I went into HOF today and the only stocking they had were white.

I've always managed to get them from debenhams

I wanted some last winter and couldn't find any so made my own by cutting the 'top' off a regular pair of black opaques...worked a treat...they dont ladder like thinner tights would...
