Vidal Sassoon hot air styler

Has anyone tried the Vidal Sassoon hot air styler, just wondered if it is any good?

It gives fantastic results, however I hate it and never use it. It gets far too hot and I'm not happy putting that amount of heat directly onto my hair. I swear I can just smell burning whenever I use it!
If you have very thick hair it might be fine for you though. I have very fine long hair.
