Stylish thin waterproof coat?

I've just bought a Didriksons Angelina for winter and am v pleased with it.

However I also need a replacement for my crappy leaky cagoule - the sort of thing you can put on in spring or autumn when it's rainy but not cold, even summer if it's showery.

It needs to be waterproof not just showerproof but have zero padding/warmth. Mid thigh to knee length. Gathered waist.

Any suggestions? I guess £50 ideal but up to £100 for the right thing.

Merrel Urbaine?

Target Dry do waterproof parkas without padding and Merrell Ellenwood also comes in a non insulated raincoat version

Thanks - merrell probably a bit pricey having just spent a fortune on Didriksons though they are lovely. Target dry has a few possibles. Thanks!

I got a lovely dark green one from Tesco about a month ago....£30. It can be pulled in at the bottom and at the waist.
Good luck! x

Don't forget to use the 15% off discount code if you buy one from Target Dry

Seasalt have properly waterproof thin coats - the lined winter ones are all at the top of the coats page on the website but the thin ones are still on there. My mum has one and it is surprisingly stylish looking.

Maybe a bit beyond budget but what about www.happyrainydays.com? I have one and it's lovely.

I've got this and it does the trick. It's pretty streamlined and has a large hood with a drawstring so it doesn't fall down. I'm a long bodied size 14-16 and it falls just past mid thigh on me.

Musto do nice ones. Bit pricey but should last a good few years.

evertonmint · 24/10/2014 09:53

Thanks all. These are all excellent suggestions. Now it's getting cold I'll probably be mainly wearing the Angelina anyway so I can always save up to have a bigger budget for the right one. I'm sick of looking like a hiker when I'm not actually on the hills hiking!

Next job will be a more stylish fleece alternative...
