Handbag ironmongery

I have just taken delivery of a handbag I have had my eye on for ages... However, the clasps, D-rings and snap-hooks etc. are all a bit too gold. Other than that though, I really like it.

I have looked online and you can buy all the various bits from haberdashery websites in less blingy colours so I wondered if it's possible/sensible/insane to have them all swapped on the bag? The bag was quite expensive (£200) so I don't want to do it if it's going to ruin the bag..... Confused

Why would you do that? Just return it back

WitchWay · 22/10/2014 16:24

Agree, I'd send it back.

Try Classic Shoe Repairs in London, N7. They do repairs to high end bags and shoes.

I'd send them an email and a photo and see what they think and should be able to give you a quote.

Normally I would just send it back, but I love the handbag and have been on the hunt for one like this for ages, so I'm torn.

Thanks so much for that link, Cheers, I'll send them an email, hopefully they can help. Smile
