• which shoes and boots would you buy for autumn/winter, to get you through every eventuality?

I would like two pairs of Dubarry's one pair in black and one pair in brown. I don't really do dressy so I would be happy with those.

I already have my ideal boots. These ones and I love them.

They cost mush more than I would usually pay- but they do make me happy. I even dyed my hair to match them.

I'd like grey shearling lined Pistols to keep me warm and stylish and something more practical for wet/icy days.

I have just bought some Frye Engineers, but I think I would quite like a pair of Acne Pistols too. Late to the party, me. Or is the Pistol party already over?

I'd get the givenchy shark boots, in leather, and i would get the saint laurent Debbie boots , they both not very practical ,but you said if money is no object ,ohh and I would throw in a few Rossi pairs.

On a more serious note, I have a few pairs of Marant shoes /boots and they are fab, very hard wearing, and another great boots,probably my best boots investment is the jimmy choo bikers,

For rainy days it would be Jimmy Choo Youth fur lined biker boots

I've got a pair of Acne Pistols but much prefer the Acne Star boot which I also have. The Star looks better and is much more comfortable round the ankle. It's also more versatile because it doesn't have the dangling leather strap from the zip - which makes the Pistol a bit more "go with jeans"/casual type boot.

Toga pullas by day and Valentino rockstuds by night.
