Getting a Brazilian?

I have decided that I'd like to try going completely bare down there- is that called a Brazilian?- but have never had a wax of any kind before and have no idea of the procedure.

Could you talk me through how it works? Am I meant to leave it to grow so it will be easy to wax? Trim it? What do I wear? What will happen when I get there? Any info would be greatly appreciated so that I know what to expect

Usually you have to have some growth (5mm maybe) but not too much.
Most places will get you to take off your pants completely which is a bit embarrassing, but you get used to it!

And also, how long does it last? I've tried shaving but it seems to grow back really quickly and get all stubbly :(

In terms of pain, it depends on which wax is used. Don't let anyone near that area with wax strips - they should use hot wax, especially the stuff that they apply with a spatula and then pull off without strips.

How long it last depends from person to person (mine grows back quickly unfortunately), but it does help to have it done every 6 weeks.

It should last at least 2-3 weeks, definitely longer than waxing.

Most places will show you into a room and leave you to undress from the waist down. Some give you paper pants to put on. You lie on the waxing table and put a towel over your crotch. When the waxer comes back in they will rearrange the towel or remove it completely. They will tell you how to position your legs as they wax. Sometimes they will ask you to hold some skin taut. They will spread hot wax onto the area in small patches and tear off with a strip. Some waxers will ask you Togo onto hands and knees, all will ask you if you want the back (your bum hole) done at the end.
To be honest the first time will be more painful than subsequent times. The worst part is the area above your clitoris

It is a brazillian yes.

My waxer uses hot wax and wax strips.

You have to take your pants off and they do your bum crack as well.

I achieve the same using hair removal cream, less embarrassing, not painful, cheaper :)

Blimey, this sounds a bit scary I have tried hair removal cream but I can't seem to get it all off that way. I might try the wax just once!

It is fine, my waxer puts me at ease and I don't have to get on my hands and knees I just lay on my side.

In my experience its trial and error . The good waxers will offer to do the "back".

Try going to an Indian beauty salon. I find that they are quick to point out your hairy bits - whenever I get my eyebrows threaded, they always ask if wants top lip or face done (without my asking).
