Ok so they discontinued my beloved anti blemish nick lowe, tried a neutrogena and it caused havoc. Now coming to the end of la roche posay effaclar and still getting breakouts.

What next? would rather not spend the earth and need to be able to get this is boots.

I have sensitive skin, prone to breaking out around nose and chin, prone to going oily but get dry flaky patches around my nose too.

Help me please

I tried LRP too but it didn't work for me. I've had 10 years of bad acne, dryness and oiliness and have tried everything but the only thing that has worked for me is going to the GP. I've been prescribed antibiotics and a cream with benzoyl peroxide in, and it's almost cleared up now. Also the flakiness has gone.

Have you seen your GP at all? It's really worth doing. I put it off for so long and have spend hundreds on different creams etc. and wish I'd just gone to the doctors years ago.

Thanks, I'm pretty good with my water.

So sudocrem tonight. Must have some hanging around somewhere.

What other cleanser toner etc? Surely I don't just slap sudocrem all over my face every night? This could be the best contraception yet!

Sorry just re-read your post and realised it sounds like you don't always have spots! So you may want to disregard what I said Grin

Might think about the GP. This a fairly new thing for me. Was never spotty in my teens or 20s, just struggling now. Dr Nick Lowe fixed me for the last few years and now it's disappeared damn it!

I really like Liz Earle. Tried it after a ton on recommendations in here and off friends. First week to 10 days my skin got spottier but persevered and my skin is the best it's ever looked. I use the cleanse and Polish, spray toner and light moisturiser xx

I use the method described on acne.org. It lists various products you can use for each step but gives instructions on how to wash and dry your face etc. my skin sounds really similar to yours and I hardly ever get a spot now. And I don't get any flaky bits, which I had found a problem when I had been prescribed Duac cream from the GP. It's made such a difference!
