Ankle boots

Want to buy a pair for this autumn/winter. With so many out there I just don't know what to look for.

What heel is good? I don't like the "Chelsea" type boot.

And what are the rules regarding what to wear. Tuck jeans in? Roll jeans up?

Thought a tan/taupe pair would go with everything.

Ideas?

I don't think there are any rules regarding what to wear. Ankle boots are very flexible. Personally though, I'm never going to ever wear jeans tucked into ankle boots or rolled up jeans but that's a personal thing

Look for what you like, tan or brown work brilliantly with denim. I don't like the Chelsea type boot either, they were mum boots a few years back and I still see them the same way Blush

What heel height are you comfortable with? Budget? Leather or manmade etc?

If it was me, given what you've said, I'd just see what jumps out at you rather than not knowing what to look for.

Thanks TripTrap. Would prefer real leather.

So would you wear skinny jeans with ankle boots!

I think I could manage a mid heel, they need to comfy to wear every day and out too, but definitely not mum boots!

I wouldn't but most do. I'd just feel like a complete idiot if I did Blush it's just not me really. Can look good on others though Smile

Do you like feminine boots or those that are a bit more clunky or bikery?
