Looking for a gorgeous scarf

I have decided I'd like to start wearing scarves. During the day- not just with a outdoor coat. I've never been a scarf wearer, but often think they look so chic on others. Any advice on good places to try? I want something that's not too huge- I'm quite petite, so I think those oversized things would really swamp me. Colour wise, I'm an Autumn (if you hold with such things), and am ideally looking for something dark blue/ teal/ green. Any ideas? thanks.

The White Company does nice scarves and someone has posted a 20% off code with free delivery on the voucher/promo board

Oslo - I have lilac and a dark pink that might be red/berry. Now I prefer the look of the silver (w a dark grey coat), royal any and aubergine.

Thanks. I think I will get the lilac scarf.

I have a lot of scarves v similar to those silk and cashmere ones, cost me $7 each (so a fiver in real money) and they wash and tumble dry brilliantly

Belinda I remember looking at those scarves last year but decided against because they looked quite sheeny. Are they? I prefer a matt scarf but it's such a good price.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 20/10/2014 20:29

They do have a sheen, yes, myrtle. I assume it's due to the silk content (based on memory, I think they are 30% silk, 70% cashmere). They are such a great price, I agree. I still think I will get the Royal Navy, as I think the sheen might be good for a darker colour.

Thanks Belinda, I'll resume mulling :)
