Are these shoes ugly?

I'm on the hunt for comfy black shoes for work. At the moment I'm wearing boots that are a size to small that are angering my bunion :(

But every pair of flat shoes I like I can tell probably won't be comfy (I can't wear completely flat shoes because my ankles start to ache, so I need something with some support!)

I have found these:

...but they just look...chunky?! I think they look a bit too old for me (I'm 24) and I'm sure they would look awful with leggings or skinny jeans that I sometimes wear for work. I'm a bit stuck basically!

I also likes THESE:

but I worry that they wouldn't have as good support. Looking at ones with the strap on the top simply to stop them falling off my feet (I need EEE wide fitting and sometimes they slip off when walking)
Honest opinions welcome!

Yes those shoes are ugly! My buniony friend recommends Hotter Shoes. Different widths and very well made.

I like the first pair more than the second pair but they'd look better in brown,I think any shoes look hideous and frumpy in black.

Just wear what's comfy especially if you have foot problemsSmile

I really loved both pairs of shoes!

As a disclaimer though most people do tend to take tge piss out of my collection of fugly shoes....

Think you could get much better than those, which are rather ugly. But then I hate Evans and all it's works.
Lots of good suggestions for other brands here.

Sorry for not controlling autocorrect. Its, not it's! Ouch.

They're both ugly but I wear equally ugly ones from Clarke's for work and they've been amazing for my feet. I just make sure I wear trousers that cover the strap xx
