Winter boots for me!

Will be heading back to uk next week to do Christmas shop and have seen lovely (and cheap) knee length boots in jones the bootmaker called Praise.
Does anyone have them? Or can recommend a similar style pair? Really need new ones, old ones are dying after 2 1/2 years of hard service. Will be staying near Hemel Hempstead if that helps...am already envisaging DH with steam coming out of him as I hunt down the elusive right ones.

Really have this plan of being super organised, we are only going be in uk for 4 days, one day we have to pick up new car and on the Sunday we are meeting up with friends. And then have to get my shopping fix and stock up with essentials. We only come over once a year and it is a killer ;)

A woman on a mission! Whereabouts are you shopping? I got those babies in House of Fraser. They also do Dune boots in TK Maxx and the shoe section isn't usually as much of a jumble sale as the rest of the shop.

That's me! I do like a bit of tk maxx. Going to start a to do list tomorrow, last year we wasted a whole day looking the "right" kindle for dd. Was a rookie error not to be repeated.

Ooo hobbs how big on the calf are they? I have skinny calves but want something for over jeans....

Good luck with you boot search, jones the boot maker do some slimmer calf boots, were v good price in sales last yr.

I'm a size 14-16 and they're a bit tight at the top of my calves over tights. If you're skinny in the calf earlier they should zip up over jeans fine, perhaps even a bit loose.

I'm a size 4 though - I don't know if the calf size gets bigger when the foot size gets bigger. I'm pretty sure hof do free returns though.

Well if he's happy to come that's fab. My dp hasn't stopped with me for kids or myself for ages. I don't kbow why, he is fab at carrying the bags
