Very very nice.

mirpuppet · 16/10/2014 23:26

For the price I think you should look for leather.

The style is nice.

MrsMinton · 16/10/2014 23:27

Like those a lot.

TheMasterNotMargarita · 16/10/2014 23:33

They are OK.

Sylviet · 16/10/2014 23:38

Just noticed the reviews!

thenightsky · 16/10/2014 23:45

Gorgeous but I paid £15 in Primark last year for non-leather similar.

seasalt · 16/10/2014 23:46

Look lovely but are a bit pricey.

ZumZee · 17/10/2014 04:53

Yes I agree about the price and the fact they are not leather. Wish they were. They are just so comfortable and light, with very flexible soles and I liked the style. and wide enough for my fat ankles But they have to be really, really nice to justify the price.

I like the boots - but a friend had a very similar pair at half the price from New Look.

BikeRunSki · 17/10/2014 06:04

The reviews are brilliant

MrsMarigold · 17/10/2014 07:15

They are meant to be very supportive and as a brand have a good reputation for comfort and support so probably worth it. Personally I prefer leather but it is much more expensive.

Jeee I think any footwear from New Look is a bad idea because they it is always the most ubiquitous brand in charity shops - which is probably an indictment.

ZumZee · 17/10/2014 08:31

I found a leather pair for the same price in next and one for 90 in clarks that were similar design. Both had really hard soles and weren't comfortable at all unfortunately. I would pay up to £100 for the right pair , preferably in leather, but I want comfort AND style. Too demanding maybe :o

lovely... i've had a pair from this brand and they are very comfortable

hellsbellsmelons · 17/10/2014 09:21

Something like THIS?? Slightly over budget

hellsbellsmelons · 17/10/2014 09:25

I like the ones you've linked to as well though.
And if they are comfy then all good. That's the important bit!

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 17/10/2014 10:29

I've been looking at these due to wanting the good bottom, comfort and real leather. Not as nice as the ones in your first link but they are real leather and comfy

ZumZee · 17/10/2014 12:28

hellsbells those Dune ones are gorgeous! Sadly over my max budget though.

triptrap they are nice too if they fit well. I know they won't work for me though as I am generous of calf .... I won't be able to squidge my cankles in :)

Oh and I have just bought the rieker ones in brantano. I am going to try them with some different trousers before I decide.

OP posts:
Sylviet · 17/10/2014 12:32

Brantano regularly have 40% discount codes, in which case such comfy nice boots would be a bargain!

ZumZee · 17/10/2014 13:30

I love you sylviet have just found code! Ordered for 39, will take others back. At that price I will live with man-made

:o

They are nice - and not everyone wants a leather boot,
There are a few vegetarian type boots out there but alot of them are a tad plastic~ey.

Sylviet · 17/10/2014 17:51

Oh that's great! I'm sure you will enjoy them, such positive reviews.

Reiker, from what I've seen of them, aren't plasticky. Had a pair of their sandals once and they weren't leather, but excellent quality, not cheap, and mega comfy.

Cocolepew · 17/10/2014 18:14

Thanks for the 40% of tip, I got £18 off these

The boots in the op are lovely.

ZumZee · 17/10/2014 18:59

Those are nice too!

Think this is the first time I have ever had approving responses in s&b!
Last pair of shoes I suggested, I think the word "monstrous" was used. :o
