Does anyone else have this problem when using oil...

My skin has been quite dry as we have just come out of winter. Whenever I use any type of oil on my body, within days I look like an oil slick, my hair gets so greasy within a day it feels like its sticking to my head, my face is all shiny and greasy..

I tried oil cleansing method and it happened. I tried using bio-oil, same thing. Just a few weeks ago my arms and legs were so dry again, so I tried some Clarins body oil, so instead of putting it on my skin directly, I put some drops in the bath. Now a few days later I am wiping oil from my nose and cheeks, and my hair which was washed yesterday, looks dull and dirty.

I cant even say that my arms and legs look any better, yes they are less flaky, but still quite dry...

What is going on??

That's very strange... Have you tried shea butter as a moisturizer? It's not technically an oil, I find it very nourishing. Wouldn't go near a bio-oil tho..It's based on petrochemicals!! Maybe try some omega 3s internally too?? Like flax oil or hemp seed?

Thanks Ava, I take a daily vitamin which has evening primrose in so I am getting omega's in.. its like I am excessively dry in some parts and so oily in other.... Quite frustrating...

I will try shea butter, I do have some handcream that works quite well.

Still oily today, having to hairwash every day as opposed to every other like I usually do.

is hoping its not some 40 something body change going on eek

What shampoo do you use? The natural organic ones are a lot more gentle on your scalp, that might reduce the oiliness??
If it's hormonal agnus castus is amazing...
Sorry I'm a natural product junkie, but they work!
