The best cleanser and moisturiser on a budget?

I need to buy new beauty products (cleanser and moisturiser) without spending a fortune. I use to use Clinique but have just run out. Any recommendations? Smile

what's your budget for starters?

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 15/10/2014 19:37

Moisturiser - Nivea in the blue pot. Honestly, I'm converted and I use it daily and won't go back

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/10/2014 19:39

Cleanser - Avene extremely gentle is lovely. It's £8 but lasts for ages. Moisturiser - I'm currently really liking the Nivea daily sensitive stuff.

BadcatBertram · 15/10/2014 19:41

Olay a Total Effects. There are usually offers on at most High Street stores. I always go back to this moisturiser and I've used most premium brands- none are as good.

FrankSpencer · 15/10/2014 19:43

Take a look at the Body Shop site for what you want. Read through the reviews to help you make your decision.
I really like the Tea Tree range and their new Vitamin C range. 30% off at the moment too.

(I promise I don't work for TBS!)

LikeSilver · 15/10/2014 19:44

I love the No7 Beautiful Skin range. Nivea if I am low on cash.

SwedishEdith · 15/10/2014 19:50

Nivea Soft from Quality Save for about £2.50 and Cocoa Butter body oil for cleaning your face - bottle lasts a few months and is about £3

acemay · 15/10/2014 19:55

Superdrug vitamin E range - the hot cloth cleanser is lovely, less than a fiver at full price and often on offer.

itsnothingoriginal · 15/10/2014 19:57

Am loving the Cien Anti wrinkle moisturizing cream I bought from Lidl - truly surprised by how nice it is!!

toptrumps1 · 15/10/2014 19:58

Aldi Lecura (sp?)moisturiser - £2.99 a pot. I've only used the moisturiser but all the other beauty products get rave reviews too, so cleanser may be just as good.

cheshcat · 15/10/2014 20:21

I was looking both for under £10 for sensitive skin Smile

The Nivea one I mentioned is often half price in Boots or Superdrug. The Avene is £8, so it should be possible to pick both up for not much more than a tenner.

Otherwise, the Superdrug Radiance or Vitamin E ones are well worth a try.

i find mixing small amounts of higher end and budget products works for me. caroline hirons has helped me find quite a few
Asda nspa cleansing gel, i like their eye cream too.
I also like aldi lacura moisturiser as per toptrumps, good things manuka honey products and their avocado and goji berry face mask. Loreal age perfect products- cleansing milk and toner in particular.

My 3 more expensive products would be:
pixi glow tonic spritzed on after cleansing (decanted into a cheap spritz bottle ) £18 for 250ml lasing about 6 months- often on a BOGOF.

I also use hydraluron underneath my cheapie moisturier (£24 at boots often on 3 for 2 or on offer for £18) one tube of hydraluron lasts me at least 4 months used day and night.
I have a 100ml dropper bottle of argan oil from amazon for £10 as a serum for hair, dry bits of skin on the face and neck and regularly on the nails, I bought it 15 months ago and one quarter is left

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 15/10/2014 21:05

The aloe range from the body shop, buy on line when they have offers.

Karbea · 15/10/2014 21:07

Nivea soft is good, I normally use expensive brands but using this currently and perfectly happy with it.

FlossieTreadlight · 15/10/2014 21:12

I started using the blue pot Nivea after reading about it on here - has been lovely on my skin. Super frog radiance range hot cloth cleanser is the one I use - that range is all half price at the moment

FlossieTreadlight · 15/10/2014 21:13

Super frog? No, no. SuperDRUG.

SocialMediaAddict · 15/10/2014 21:15

No 7 hot cloth cleanser is fab and it's £9.95!

Madamecastafiore · 15/10/2014 21:18

Try Cerave from Amazon.

I have swapped from Estée Lauder to Cerave, saving myself a fortune and my skin is amazing.

St Ives exfoliating pads brilliant too.

Floisme · 15/10/2014 22:37

I have sensitive skin too, op. I cleanse with almond oil and a hot flannel and moisturise with either coconut or wheatgerm oil, all from the grocery counter. They work, they don't set my skin off and they're cheap as well Smile

I also like blue pot Nivea but I can't use it every day as it irritates after a bit.

I cleanse with coconut oil and a hot flannel and moisturise with Nivea soft.

midnightmoomoo · 15/10/2014 23:03

I like the Nivea Daily Essentials for sensitive skin cleanser and moisturiser. Their cleansing mousse for dry/sensitive skin (pink one) is lovely too, not drying.

Also love the Avene Gentle Cleanser mentioned already, when my skin throws a wappy it's my go-to and I always have one in the bathroom just in case.

BeCool · 15/10/2014 23:28

I've been using the M&S Pure range for a while now & it's great. I use the Hot facecloth cloth cleanser and the moisturiser. I buy it when they have 342 offers every so often.

Also I like the Boots Botanicals "Organic" cream cleanser which is under a fiver and often on offer.
