Autumn/ Winter foundation advice

I'm looking for advice on a foundation for the colder months. My skin is mostly oily, worse in the summer, so I find that Revlon colourstay does the job as it has good staying power. However I have some issues with this foundation. I use the 3rd lightest shade for going out when I have some tan on. As Im pale I figured the lightest one would suit for day to day. However, though the shade is not too bad (a touch too light maybe) the texture is totally different to the darker one. Its quite thick and a bit mask like, whereas the darker one is much runnier and has a much nicer finish.
So, has any one had any experience with the second lightest shade, or does any one has advice on a winter foundation with light-med coverage? I have tried YSL touch eclait and while I love the colour and lightness it went quite shiny after an hour or two. Thanks!

I have very oily skin the summer and it becomes less oily in the winter. I recently tried Dior Star and love it with primer underneath it works well for my skin type without being too thick like most foundations I've tried before for oily skins. For everyday I use Bourjois 123 as its cheaper but still great on my oily skin.

Thanks, dior star sounds good! I might see if I can get a sample. I'm not a huge fan of Bourjois foundations as I find they dont have a colour that matches me, though I have never tried the 123.

I have been using the Dior Star sample after hearing about it on here and going to Boots to get matched, they gave out a generous sample too so you can try it out first to see if it works well.

It seems its not available on the Irish boots website, but Debenhams are doing samples so I will definitely try there. Cheers!

I hated Dior star but quite like urban Decay Naked foundation.

Ysl also goes shiny on me but the fusion one may suit you?

Cheers! I will look into both of those too!

Some reviews by 'experts' of Dior Star say it is highly fragranced which is not good for the skin.

How does Dior Star compare with YSL Teint Éclat? Is it more coverage but still with the glowy thing?

I think Star has more coverage and works for oilier skins too.

I tried to get colour matched for Urban Decay Naked Foundation today and found they didn't have any neutral undertone shades, the lady tried shade 6.0 on me and in the store it was ok slightly warm but by the time I got home I was so orange! Great coverage though and light feel. They ran out of sample pots though so I didn't get to test it at home. Estee Lauder lady was lovely though and gave me a generous sample plus they had lots of neutral shades too.
