Can anyone recommend a good primer?

Depends what you need it for. I have bloody massive pores, so tend to go for benefit porefessionals, but if you just want something to make your makeup last longer, smashbox is the way to go I think.

Smashbox. Also like the Shu Uemura mousse one that has mattifying and SPF30 for Summer, as it a)does the SPF bit for me and b)prevents makeup from melting off my face. Probably not so necessary in October, mind...

Thank you. Make up just seems to look rubbish on me these days. I don't bother with foundation for work. Thought a primer might help.

U prob need to do a mask and exfoliate. Then primer before foundation would help. Estee lauder do a really good one. Otherwise try something like loreal skin perfecter over your foundation. Gives it airbrushed look.

Korres oak and quercetin primer is amazing for making your skin look less tired but they discontinued it Sad

You might find it on eBay?

ihatethecold · 17/10/2014 21:04

I used smash box primer before but it makes my skin bumpy.
Think it might be the silicone.

Clinique city block. It lasts forever too.

southeastastra · 17/10/2014 21:27

second the shu uemura mousse, it's expensive but mine has lasted for months. it's a really good product that works.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15.
Obscenely expensive but it's the only one that's worked well for me.

Bare Minerals

Laura Mercier, Benefit or Laura Gellar Spackle all good.

EmilyGilmore · 18/10/2014 22:20

I use Smashbox Photo Finish primer. If you find a counter in Boots they'll give you a sample that will last you weeks.

Bare minerals oil control all the way
