help me find some boots

I'm crap with fashion and would love somegguidance from you lovely mn'ers!

I've managed to put together a winter wardrobe, mainly aling the lines of knee length/slightly above knee length skirts and dresses. I am a pear and like a smart casual look.

I have a pair of brown fabric boots with a wedge. Like these but really need something black (brown boots and black dress dont go right?!)
Ideally a bit of heel (as I'm 5"3") , but need to be able to walk a fare distance in them. Also cant justify spending over £100.

Any ideas what will 'go' with my look?

How about some knee high sixties style block heel ones?

I've seen the chunky block type ones online, are these back on trend? I used to wear ones like them about 10 years ago (wish I'd kept them now! )

Would chunky chelsea boots with a heel look silly?
