Hair brush

I need a brush for long fairly thick hair. I only have a round brush at the minute and it's not doing a good job. I was thinking a paddle? Any recommendations?

Try a LARGE paddle brush, either Denman or Kent:

I have a large Denman, having started with a Kent floral brush but it eventually cracked near the handle and broke (plus the pattern wore off and it looked tatty). I don't know how long I've had my Denman but it's probably at least 10 years and is still going strong. In terms of hair-brushing they were the same, it was just the Kent floral handle wasn't as durable. So you could try a Kent with a different handle, eg wood or stronger plastic.
