Jeans intervention help please

I'm six foot with a 35 inch inside leg and a size 16. I'm wide of hip with a poorly defined waist and a long crotch to waist length (not selling myself am I).
I would dearly love some jeans but I've never found a pair that has fitted, if they fit across the hips they are too tight at the waist. If they fit at the waist they are too wide at the hips.
I fancy trying some boyfriend jeans but I'll try anything as long as they aren't boot cut.
I'm not too bothered about the cost. Any suggestions please?

Have you considered getting a pair made for you?

I got some from these guys www.makeyourownjeans.com/jeans/shop-by-look?sort=20a&page=2 when I got sick of jeans that if they were big enough to go over my thighs I could fit a bowling ball down the back of the waist.

Next are good for the wide of waist but not sure if they go long enough. Size down at least a size.

GAP do long leg lengths don't they? Have you tried they're straight cut?

If you're anywhere near London, head to the Selfridges denim department. You can book a session with a style consultant and there is no comulsion to buy - they have a great selection ranging from around £20 to hundreads of pounds.

I keep recommending it on here but they made me realise I was wearing the wrong size and style.

Unfortunately I live abroad but I will have a chance to shop in the UK in the next couple of months - not London though unfortunately.

I'll try Next and Gap although Gap have always been too low rise for me in the past. It's been bloody years since I even tried shopping for Jeans so everything could have changed in that time.

If I can't try them on in person Make your own jeans might be an idea, although I need to try on different styles first to know what suits me.

Thanks for the suggestions and all further ideas welcome.

Agree wih going to a denim expert, like Selfridges as mentioned, or Donna Ida (maybe use the style advisor facility in that link or contact them before a visit?), or Trilogy denim who are similar.

I have in the past but previous jeans from them were poor quality for the price so I've avoided looking, maybe it's worth another try.

I've been struggling with long jeans too. I've ordered some from Esprit with 36" inside leg but they haven't come yet.
