I need a decent mirror, what's good?

I want something for putting on make-up and as it's often darkish when I'm doing that I wondered about one of those illuminated ones - are they any good? I hate doing my make-up without good light but it's not always possible.

DD has this one from Boots

It's very often on offer , I think I paid about £20 for it. She uses it every day.
