I have been wearing J'adore and Armani Diamonds both which I really love but want something more warm and vanilla smelling for winter. What fragrance do you wear in the winter or recommend? Thanks

very vanilla and chocolatey.

You can buy a sample on the 4160 Tuesday website!

Warm and vanilla-smelling for winter, you say? I have your solution:

Love Eau Intense, by Chloe: www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Chloe/Love-Eau-Intense-12594.html

Trust me!

Liz Earle No. 15. It's so soft and spicy and just lovely.

D&G No. 10 (La Roue de la Fortune). It was originally marketed as a unisex fragrance, although I think they've rebranded it as a women's scent. Regardless, despite being fairly cheap and an EDT, the scent lingers nicely and develops well, very warm and I really like it for the colder seasons.

I used to wear DKNY Pure for vanilla, it was a while ago and I don't think it's exactly warm (trying to remember!), but it was a pleasant simple scent and it was the vanilla that I liked about it.

For daytime, L'Occitane's Amber is warm and comforting without being too much for the office. Think they've discontinued though and replaced with an amber/sandalwood combo. Worth trying Serge Luten's Ambre Sultan too? (amber/vanilla).

Agree with Koala - Chloe Love Intense is gorgeous...never smelt anything like it and it is different from the original Chloe Love. I bought samples on Ebay of the intense version as it seems quite hard to find.
I also think YSL Cinema might be a good choice for you, or Estee Lauder Sensuous.

Deathraystare · 12/10/2014 20:55

Got excited by the title of your post until I read the word 'vanilla'. The ruin of many a good perfume (IMHO). I have no desire to smell like a cake shop!

Don't want to hijack, but was going to post something similar. I am also looking for a warm fragrance for winter, was thinking something almondy, frangipani, ambery, but not too much vanilla. And not too expensive. Would Cinema be any good for me?

BettyMoody · 12/10/2014 21:24

Liz earle. Tom ford for le soir

maybemyrtle · 12/10/2014 21:33

THIS is the most amazing vanilla ever. Not sickly or sweet at all. Discontinued but still possible to find on discount websites.

I've been wearing Miller Harris La Fumee this past week. As it gets more wintery and closer to Xmas I'll be breaking out Ambre Russe - awesome boozy amber.

Greengardenpixie · 12/10/2014 21:44

YSL cinema has vanilla undertones but its not predominantly vanilla. Its a beautiful scent that isnt sickly sweet like most vanillas. I had it left on my scarf and i just couldnt stop but sniff it!!

Greengardenpixie · 12/10/2014 21:46

Love vintage...have a little smell of Cinema if you get out to a perfume place - ..im sure you will like it :)
As i said, its not too vanilla.

ShebaQueen · 12/10/2014 21:49

Oooh I am definitely going to try Cinema. I've never found anything to replace my beloved Bvlgari Omnia in the brown bottle (can sometimes get it on discount websites but it's becoming more and more difficult).

LoveVintage · 12/10/2014 21:53

Thanks, I will definitely try it.

yazzy85 · 13/10/2014 00:02

Cinema sounds lovely, I want a hint of warm vanilla nothing too sickly sweet
