Have been looking longingly at dou but just can't afford them:(
Have been everywhere in our local town today but with no success.
Is there anything out there? Black, flat and under £100??

Sainsburys ate selling riding boots in both Black and Brown for £55. They have a band of elastic running up the back of the boots that let them expand around wide calves. My largest calf is 42.5 cm around and I can get them on.

CaurnieBred · 11/10/2014 21:36

I've got Sainsbury's ones from last year - really comfy and I like their this year's ones too.
M&S also do wide calf ones

tethersend · 11/10/2014 22:48

Do they have to be leather? If not, these are an absolute stealing gorgeous IRL.

tethersend · 11/10/2014 22:48

*steal AND gorgeous

Behoove · 12/10/2014 12:47

They are lovely tethers, would be even more perfect in leather Sad
I bought the George at Asda leather riding boots in black last year,£40, perfect fit for my 42cm calves. I tried on both the chocolate brown version and the gorgeous tan ones they have this year and neither would zip up.

Behoove · 12/10/2014 12:48

Might pop down to Sainsbos and try those caurnie, thanks

Simply Be do a number of different calf widths and have loads of styles at less than £100. I am waiting with great excitement for a pair I've ordered to arrive.

Grin only

Next have some riders with elastic down them. This type is usually a much better fit than the wide leg ones as they usually make the ankles massive too so they look baggy and unflattering.

Sainsburys ones look good although I didn't buy them but they are very roomy and good quality.

Milmingebag · 12/10/2014 13:25

here

These would last you years

Milmingebag · 12/10/2014 13:28

these are lovely too.

Behoove · 12/10/2014 13:35

milm, they are both lovely, particularly the chestnut ones in the 2nd link.

TOADfan · 13/10/2014 07:43

I have to get my boots specially made. Even the largest size in simple be don't fit Sad

AuntySib · 14/10/2014 18:57

Just bought flat black boots, leather, from BHS. Fit my wide feet and calves (42cm) very comfortably.Wore them all day yesterday with no problem at all. £70 odd quid well spent!
