Dark brown knee highs - Clarks?

I need a new pair, I was looking to spend about £80 as that was the going rate a few years ago, now I realise that's about 50 quid short Sad

I have a lot of trouble with fitting and can't wear too big a heel because of pelvis problems, and usually like Clarks as comfort is important.

I've seen these and liked the style and colour but the reviews says they scuff easily. Does anyone have these, and how have they found them? I would be wearing them for everything so need hard wearing and want them to last.

If not has anyone any other recommendations? Thanks

I was just about to order this, before realising the 20% code I had didn't work for boots. I have an old Orinoco pair which I think is the same snuff leather and they've lasted three winters and I wear them most days. I really do need some new ones this year though!

I have a pair similar to this which DH bought me for Christmas last year. I also normally stick to the security of Clark's, but love these.

M&S boots

I've got these. I love them - they go with everything and fit my chunky calves!

They do scuff easily. However, I don't think it looks bad because they are casual anyway - it adds to the character.

I bought mine through Quidco and I think I got 20 cashback.

MonkeyGoneToHeaven · 10/10/2014 14:14

I've just checked and I tell a lie - it was 6.50 not 20 cashback.

However, Quidco currently have 8% cashback on Clarks adult boots, so you'd effectively get them for 92.

Ah, smileandnod I think I have the same code. Hmm. They do look nice, prefer the look of the leather to some of the dearer ones anyway. Good to hear you've had similar before that have lasted well.

Those m&s ones look good, auditangel but think the heel might be a bit too blocky for me on those though it might just be my eyes? Thanks for suggesting Marks, always forget about them for footwear, but have had some decent things from there in the past.

That's just what I was thinking monkeygonetoheaven, sometimes a bit of scuffing adds to them a bit. My overall look is generally scruffy casual so not put off by it if it suits the boot iyswim.

Thanks, will look at quidco.

They look lovely travelin but they'd probably work best in a pair and I could only afford one Grin it would make my left leg look very stylish though.

It's hard to find the line with buying good enough quality to last but on a budget.

I have these too. They are lovely, yes they mark but they don't look bad because of it.

Sootgremlin · 10/10/2014 18:56

Thanks marmaladecat, I'm very tempted now.

I've just had these delivered. They look nice on but can't comment on how quickly they'll get scuffed.

I have my beady eyes on a pair of knee length wedge zip up DMs called Viola. Saw them in the Covent Garden store and they are lush in reality and have a 1-2in heel. Sorry cannot link but available in red, dark brown and black; only issue £130!

currieaddict · 11/10/2014 17:50

asda brown leather

currieaddict · 11/10/2014 17:54

Another leather pair. I got them in black last year. Very comfy.

boots

Sootgremlin · 12/10/2014 17:19

Thanks for those currieaddict, I particularly like the second pair. Wouldn't have thought of Asda for real leather. I liked the look of some of the ankle boots on there too.

I think my heart is with the Clarks though and knowing how much I'm going to wear them, I'm going to go for those and see what they're like in the flesh.

Thanks everybody.
