So fair materual. But nice and stretchy and LOVE the front slit. Makes midi less frumpy. Wearing with boden navy blue animal print top. And (shudder). Nude tights.

Oh gah. Link no work. It's the front slit skirt. Will link later.

Also the cranberry BR trousers. Have white shirt black sweater lined up. Any other monochrome ideas?

Is it this one? www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/skirts/midi-skirt-c269188p2334536.html

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 07/10/2014 20:20

Or this? www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/skirts/studio-slit-overskirt-c269188p2311517.html this one is wool, but the split goes quite high? Could always stitch it shut a bit?

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 07/10/2014 20:22

Oh, look, nude tights are a necessary evil, no? The right ones are pretty inoffensive, it's just when you get the wrong shade, go for a thick pair or a shiny pair that it's wrong. You could always go nude fishnets, if that look moves you.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 07/10/2014 20:24

Love the sound of cranberry trousers w white shirt and black knit.

How about same outfit, but w a charcoal knit and grey / snakeskin heels? A la pinterest.com/pin/308989224407849049/

Spidergirl8 · 07/10/2014 20:27

Tried navy one on in store, was much shorter than in pic and very clingy. Bought it but took it back as felt was too leggy for work. Nice if you can pull it off though

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 07/10/2014 20:29

Is it a shade that would work w a camel knit, white shirt and black heels?

Spidergirl8 · 07/10/2014 20:31

It's a true navy so would work I think. Slightly bluer than in pic. Has panelling on back, can just see in pics.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 07/10/2014 20:31

Apologies for cross posting - I do cluster posts without refreshing the thread then realise it's the equiv of talking over the top of everyone. Not that I ever do that. No.

Spidergirl8 · 07/10/2014 20:32

PS - sorry just saw that this a personal chat between you too! Thanks for skirt link though!!!

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 07/10/2014 20:33

Camel knit suggestion was for cranberry trousers, but would be nice w navy, too, no?

Re navy, sounds perfect w Boden animal print top. Also loving navy w grey and yellow and sometimes a bit of aqua. Not all together!

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 07/10/2014 20:33

Oh spider, not a personal chat!!

Brillenbar · 07/10/2014 20:44

Coincidentally I've just taken delivery of cranberry (or Cabernet from the description, also available in a rather tasty lingonberry) trousers from BR bananarepublic.gap.co.uk/browse/product.do?cid=1010532&vid=3&pid=000656152F112-15839 these ones to be precise.

I was going to start out with cream silk baggy top and black blazer for work, and denim shirt and grey knit for weekend. So sounds not I'm completely off the mark!

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 07/10/2014 20:54

Gorgeous trousers, and outfit ideas sound lovely.

BettyMoody · 08/10/2014 05:01

Yup. Those are they if the 7/8'ones. Denim a great idea. MY shirt a bit short in the body. Anyone antip for a neat one? Was thinking Boden paris in black but ££

I had a jersey jacket in black and white thin strips I thought would be perfect but the white was not good

God I hate Pinterest. Even the name. Why doesn't that pic open

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 08/10/2014 07:22

Oh nothing v exciting re that pic, and would only give you a rough idea. I don't usually take literal inspiration from Pinterest but like seeing how colour, texture and shape combos look. Here is pic.

Given that they are the Cabernet ones Brillenbar has, I do think they could look good w camel, blush and, also leopard print shoes? Mind you, I seem to like leopard shoes w everything.

Re denim shirts, I have been v pleased w my H&M one, but wish I didn't size up. Might look at getting a smaller one. I find they are the best priced ones, too, the H&M ones.

BettyMoody · 08/10/2014 07:28

thanks will ook at H and M - what rinse did you get? Think dark for that?

BettyMoody · 08/10/2014 07:29
