I can't really afford Barbour but could stretch to £159 in a size 16 Smile

I've got this one from Jack Murphy. It's nice and fitted and I always get asked where its from.

buttercrumble · 05/10/2014 16:21

Ooh thank you ,that was the name of brand that I couldn't remember. How is the sizing please ?

You can easily get a Barbour for that price.

SorrelForbes · 05/10/2014 16:44

I'd say true to size. I'm a curvy 10/12 with an ample bust and the 12 is fine even over a fairly thick jumper.

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 05/10/2014 22:48

Ooh, I like that one Sorrel. Shame there is no hood though :( Although I hate hoods just sometimes wish nice jackets had some!

How warm is it?

Darkchocsprinkles · 05/10/2014 22:59

I have this. It is reasonably warm and has a concealed hood. Very pleased with it.

vindscreenviper · 05/10/2014 23:03

If your aunt works for Barbour you can get a Speedway for £20.Grin

SorrelForbes · 06/10/2014 08:31

Yes a detachable hood (even though I hate them too) would be useful. The fleece lining makes it very warm indeed.

MrsPMT · 06/10/2014 19:14

House of Bruar, Perthshire 'country' shop do their own version, also has hood, very reasonable.

Will be good quality, I've got a wax jacket from there in the past (not that one).

This one from Jack wills isn't bad, shame they only do it in green thoughwww.jackwills.com/en-gb/product/watercombe-wax-jacket-10000553901

I've just bought a trespass (haha!) navy waxed jacket as a temporary until I get nicer one, preferably with sherpa lining.Needed something quick due to out of the blue torrential rain!!!
