Has anyone had a bra fitting here and, if so, was it any good? I've booked for a couple of weeks time as, although I'm happy with my Bravissimo own brand bras, I would like to be fitted into one of the main brands so I can pick up online bargains!

Whenever I've gone to Bravissimo I've always ended up in their own brand and I've got fed up trying to find something else myself.

Thanks in advance.

This thread certainly gave me more entertainment than I expected! Only looked at it because Chichester is one of my favourite places.

Beth is very, very, invested in, and passionate about, a business that she has no connection with.

Hilarious though Grin

Yes, I must say that Beth has a pretty much unique prose style for an 18 year old.

misslemonsfilingcabinet · 25/02/2016 17:58

At risk of a probably deserved slap from MNHQ, it's strikingly similar in tone to the deleted posts form yellie and pink who were sock puppets. And also new. New first posters. And also called slander..... Anyway.....wanders off before I cause more trouble....

WOW!
Well. I searched Tinks on google and this came up. Like Beth, I too am surprised by your negative experience as mine has always been fantastic. I Started going to Bravissimo in my early/mid teens but a few years ago found that their fitting service had become poor and the bra's they were fitting me with were not right. They would constantly ignore the wires going well into my armpits!
I had spotted tinks when driving past the old shop (It used to be somewhere past the end of east street) and my Mum and I tried to make an appointment. She was fully booked for a while but eventually we managed to get an appointment once she had moved into the new shop.
Her fittings should be booked in advance as she closes the entire shop for your fitting and I have had an amazing experience. So much so that, through three years of university in another city and another 3 years living in London, I will only have a fitting from Tinks. Obviously I have to occasionally fit myself in bravissimo, but nobody else will be fitting me.
She is clear and informative, but also reassuring. She happily showed me (an embarassed and insecure teen) that my boobs were normal and reassured me about everything.
With regaurds the lady above talking about being a 34 or 36- most good bra fitters will agree with Alison. It is because the weight of your bust is meant to be carried around the underbust, not your shoulders. I am not a slim girl, but I wear a 30 (I can wear a 28 but shopping for a 28HH is not an easy feat). Bravissimo put me in a 32 and i was not sure about it, but now i am in 30's my bras DO dig in a little, but the fit is so much better.

Additionally, I am baffled by the need to attack a young girl over her personal experience. I am embarrassed for those involved.
Also, like Beth, I have no affiliation with Tinks, I'm just a teacher with a love of well fitted Bras!
The whole 'Zombie Thread' thing... seems a bit daft as the shop is still open and people will still be reading this thread looking to see what people think.

Just my two cents.

Here we go again :-)

ageingrunner · 12/01/2017 00:06

Ha! I remember this from last year. I believe! It is definitely not the shop owner who is posting. Definitely not!

TweeBee · 12/01/2017 00:13

Well this is quite making me want to visit but I'm not sure where Chichester is.

NatalieRushman · 12/01/2017 00:31

Grin Wonder if Bethan and Beth had the same English teachers. Their tone and style are extremely similar.

Titsalinabumsquash · 12/01/2017 00:49

I live in chichester and have done for nearly 30 years and I've never heard of this shop! 😂

ageingrunner · 12/01/2017 00:53

Bethan mentions she is a teacher, so could have been Beth's English teacher. This is DEFINITELY plausible.

Maudlinmaud · 12/01/2017 01:11

Another vote for classics Grin

Oh my days do you think we came up.the river Lagan in a bubble.

Georgiesgirl · 12/01/2017 04:51

Beth and Bethan. Genius!

ageingrunner · 12/01/2017 08:06

"Bethan" I think it's fairly well known that the band of the band of the bra is meant to be quite tight as this supports the bust. It's not meant to be so tight that it's uncomfortable and marks the skin though.

reggaesongbird · 12/01/2017 08:36

Loving this hilarious thread. I just have to add I've had some horrible experiences with independent bra shops. Post natally I have been treated like crap, humiliated, not heard and in desperation after visiting several similar shops I ended up spending £100 on two hideous bras I've never worn because the lady was nicer than all the others!
I'd rather follow bra fit guides on here and choose my own undies from now on.

WhisperingLoudly · 12/01/2017 08:56

This is very odd Confused

The prose, the young teens, the discussion of other intimate issues.

All seems a bit creepy
