Gap Dilemma

I bought a black trench coat today in Gap - a bargain as it was reduced from £60 to £35.

I got it home and tried it on again only to realise that it absolutely reeked of perfume (well more like air freshener actually!) but only across the shoulders. Not only that but there was a filthy plastic bag in the pocket! I took it straight back but typically it was the only black coat in my size so I got a refund. (The coat was back out on the rack before I left the shop Confused)

My dilemma is do I order online (full price) or wait and hope they are reduced online? I've never shopped at Gap before so I don't know how often they have special offers! I'd have to travel to go to another store so it stops being such a bargain.

Also while I'm on the subject of Gap, what is their sizing like in jeans? I'm a 14-16 everywhere else but I'm unsure what size I'd be in Gap. I've got a 15% discount code so I want to order on line.

Thanks in advance!

I think I ve read on here before tht if you ring gap, they will honour shop prices when you order online. Never done it myself but worth a try.

Jeans size - measure your waist and then order that size in inches and the size below. They tend to come up big.

Make sure you click the right delivery option on online orders it defaults to charging you but it's free over40 quid. Annoying!

I'm a 14 and take Gap 32 waist jeans. You also need to choose the length - I'm a 34 which is tall, regular is 32 and there is also 30 I think. The waist comes first so 14 regular would be 32x32.

Could you just phone your Gap, explain about the coat and ask them to order you one – you should get the same price deal as what you originally paid.

Thanks you for your help, I'll try giving them a call. And thanks for the tip about delivery charges.

Just a thought. I've stopped buying Gap jeans because after a few hours they seem to stretch by around half a size. I'd buy a size down but they're too tight to be comfortable at first, although am sure by lunchtime they'd be perfect.

was it this one?

If you sign up to Gap emails, they have offers and sales all the time.

Thanks for the tip about the jeans.

It was this one BikeRunSki - Classic Trench

I've just phoned Gap and they have honoured the instore price so I am getting my coat! I was expecting to have to pay for delivery but that's free as well so I'm happy!
