Like what I am, they are currently 10 quid off the already very reasonable price ... I have all the colours I could possibly need or wear

Sonotkylie · 08/10/2014 18:15

Quoted on Mumsnet Swears by!!! Is this the pinnacle of S and B achievement?

SofaCanary · 08/10/2014 18:41

Thank you Taystee, I've ordered the black.

Brillenbar · 08/10/2014 20:46

[breaks out into applause which is actually overly enthusiastic and makes everyone awkward]

Actually, Brillenbar am Smile for you.

CuttedUpPear · 08/10/2014 23:55

I'm a 10 (34B). What size do I need?

Sonotkylie · 09/10/2014 08:46

Pear: i would guess a S.

And thank you Billenbar, for making it all possible! (I seriously think I am not getting out enough, but I fear its not only because DS has chickenpox!)

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 10/10/2014 03:09

Well, Kylie, I've been disproportionately pleased for Brillenbar since Wed, so you aren't the only one. Blush

HamNJam · 10/10/2014 08:33

Spotted these in the Oxford St branch last weekend and bought the navy one (in S, I'm 32FF but generally wear 12 or 14 tops). Loving it Grin Wanted to get one of their flannel check shirts (super soft) too, but they didn't have the pattern/size that I wanted in stock.

I'm a week away from giving birth to my first DC and intend to breastfeed if possible for at least six months after that. I have put a cream and a black one of these into 'my shopping bag'. Wise women of S&B, tell me truthfully- have I gone insane? Are they worth buying now and keeping until I can wear them or am I just longing for the days when I could buy clothes without considering practicalities?

Brillenbar · 10/10/2014 09:39

Robindeer very best of luck.

I'd breast feed in a machine washable silk shirt. Wear a vest underneath and it can all be done discreetly. Pop it in machine to remove the inevitable posset ...

Yes, good luck Robin. The H&M and Primark vests are very long, so are worth buying. My girls were all a bit chucky when they were tiny babies only on milk, so I wore a lot of cream and white. And lots of under eye concealer. When they moved to solids, I started wearing darker colours and really favoured prints - hides spills so well.

Uniqlo sell great cashmere, which my girls also loved and still love snuggling up to me in. It's machine washable, too.

robindeer · 10/10/2014 12:15

Bought! Thanks for the tips. Will be vest shopping this afternoon!

SofaCanary · 10/10/2014 16:50

Mine came today, am surprised at how nice it is to be honest!

Onedropoflove · 10/10/2014 17:35

I just went to get my mum one but they only have bardic colours in. She won't wear beige or black.

TheBuskersDog · 10/10/2014 17:50

bardic colours?

SofaCanary · 10/10/2014 19:18

Basic???

Onedropoflove · 10/10/2014 19:49

Yes, basic! Is bardic even a word? She's very fussy since she had colour me beautiful done.

Chandon · 10/10/2014 20:24

I can't...

It is EXACTLY the sort of blouse my 78 yr old mum wears, it suits her but at 45 I can't really go for the mini me look [shick]
