Any suggestions for fine hair?

I have horribly fine hair. It's genetic, and both my parents are the same.

Are there any shampoos, supplements etc that people have used that actually help with this? I've tried a few things, but nothing works.

I get genuinely depressed about it sometimes. I would love to have a decent head of hair, but it seems like an impossible dream...

L'oreal fibrolgy thickening shampoo and conditioner does actually make my hair look and feel thicker. In between washes I use a Schwarzkopf volumizing powder.

I feel your pain. My hair is very fine too- it's got worse as I've got older too.
You may already do these things but here's what I find works for me. Colour your hair either with a home dye or at a salon, really makes hair feel fuller.
Velcro rollers, dead easy to use, bob them in for a bit while you get the rest of you ready, they make a lot of difference.
Powder texturiser- looks like talc, makes hair look thicker.
Hope someone recommends some products- I'm still searching. Wink

I lost a lot of hair due to illness a few years ago and Jason Thin to Thick shampoo and conditioner were the only things that helped.

I used to use rollers, but now my hair is in a bob (although quite a long one) so not sure if they will work with the style.

Just been reading about the Thin to Thick, and it has a lot of positive reviews. I will definitely give it a try! Smile

I've just started using swell - it's a shampoo conditioner root booster combo. So far so good. First day I used it my boss complimented me on how wel my hair looked. It's designed for thin hair and you can get a sample set to try it out.

Nioxin….I work for sassoons and also have fine hair. this stuff is amazing…throughout the day the scalp builds up sebum and oil which blocks follicles making the hair grow through finer. with nioxin it properly cleans the scalp and also plumps what you already have. i swear by this product and thank god for staff discount I have tried the whole range. they have a starter kit which you can try. well worth it!
