ankle boots with wrap dress?

For a dinner out. will this be ok? black tights and black boots. Or, would long boots be better? Or, maybe court shoes? thanks

ankle boots are all the rage atm (apparently, I'm not exactly a fashion guru) so if thats what you like then go for it :)
