I used Clinique for years very happily, then stopped using anything for a time, changed medication and now, to my horror, can't use it any more. Great drops of sweat roll off and, worse, it brings me out in rashes.

What do I do? I don't want to spend vast sums trying something only to have the same experience. It was dreadful. And the emotional shock of finding ny reliable crutch was the evil fairy's wand was dreadful too!

I think your best bet is to go to other makeup counters and asking to try some. You don't know which ingredient is setting you off. Would a patch test on your neck be sufficient to know if you'll have a reaction? If so, do two patch tests of two different foundations. If they check out, ask them to apply to see if you like how they look.

If another foundation causes a similar reaction, then you should be able to compare ingredients and figure out the culprit.

What about Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, Its highly pigmented so gives cover but is very light and natural looking. Because it is water based it allows your skin to breathe.

Thank you. It does sound as though a water based one could be the answer.

I'd go to counters and ask for samples, they'll be happy to give you some. They usually give you a week's worth in a small pot. Hope you find something that suitsSmile
