Has anyone ever done it with the facial attachment?

No, no no! It will grow back into stubble. Don't do it!

ffsindyref · 28/09/2014 17:06

Would waxing be better? I don't know what other options I have really! It's fine hair but dark and I definitely have a shadow Hmm

Can you try a hair lightener cream like joleen. I have wee bit of a tach and so far too scared to remove it so tried bleaching it and think ok?

CMP69 · 28/09/2014 17:10

I do mine and my chin Sad fairly regularly and it's fine. Hurts like buggery mind Shock

TwoInTheMourning · 28/09/2014 17:11

It doesn't grow into stubble, at least it didn't with me BUT, after I did it, I got a puss filled spot for every single hair I removed, and the spots took 4 weeks to clear. It was AWFUL. Waxing resulted in exactly the same thing, spots. Hair lightening won't work with me as I'm already blonde. I hate going anywhere to get anything done so I'm avoiding threading. I don't know what to try next really. Sorry OP, not helpful at all.

I pluck the odd very dark one and they always grow back into very short stubble, looking like black dots. That or they grow inwards. Joleen is better.

Yes I epilate upper lip regularly and it is fine. I've never had a problem with ingrowing hairs or pimples with it. Epilating won't cause hair to grow back as stubble.

I use an Epistick on the chin and upper lip, have a little go every morning before I do my hair and make-up, does the job really well. A bit ouchy but if you do a little every day and don't let too much grow back it's fine.

Furball · 28/09/2014 17:18

I do with my silk epil on setting 1 and it hurts less than having it waxed. very occasionally I get the odd spot from it. It doesn't not grow back as stubble. and it saves a tenner every month

Furball · 28/09/2014 17:20

oops that doesn't read right - I meant It doesn't grow back as stubble

aylesburyduck · 28/09/2014 19:50

I do mine but to be honest I only have a few dark hairs either side of my lip so I am quite lucky in that respect.

I haven't noticed that regrowth is stubbly but I haven't had any spots which has happened practically every time after waxing and threading.
