That backs far too high up.

It's not just about the band. You seem to think that if the band is just tight enough it won't ride up, not true: it's actually about the whole structure and balance of the bra, particularly the support at the front.

Anyone with a podgy back is going to have a back fat issue regardless of the band size. It's not excess breast tissue you can see in the photo.

Ah well, someone likes it.

Nope it's not just about the band. But a band that arches like that is too big. Back fat isn't always related to band size but you were using it as an argument for her bra being too small and my point was that it doesn't always mean that.

Twinklestein · 28/09/2014 14:32

And I repeat, the reason her bra is riding up at the back is because it's pulling down at the front, the bra structure isn't doing its work.

You could give her a bra two sizes smaller and if the structure of the rest of the bra isn't right - particularly the support under the breasts, and the design and tension of the straps - the back will still ride up.

And, if you are wearing a correctly fitting bra, then no, even people with "podgy backs" won't get back fat!

I'm sorry but that is a fond delusion. Some bras fit better than others there is no doubt about that. But the only way to eliminate back fat is to make sure you don't carry weight in that area.

Anyway, I'm bored of this, I'm off.

goodasitgets · 28/09/2014 14:37

A band would only be too tight if it's literally pulling the hooks out. I like a firm band and wear a 32/34 at a size 16. Would put money on it she is wearing something like a 32 and needs more like a 28

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/09/2014 14:45

Oh well I'm glad you are bored. About 75% of the support comes from the band. If it's too big, it arches and pulls. This is more noticeable with big heavy breasts which generally need a tighter band than a cups. But if it's arching the band is wrong. It might not be the only problem, but it's definitely one of them. Bra fitting in America is generally poorer than it is here too.

So is underwire better or not?

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/09/2014 15:49

You generally get better support and shape from underwires, but only if they fit properly otherwise they are painful ineffective instruments of torture Grin

Personally I don't get enough support from a non-wired bra. They just give me a giant monoboob

twobambinos · 28/09/2014 16:03

Maybe she was on the way to get new bras. I heard a rumour about baby no 2 so perhaps she has grown out of the bra overnight.

PacificDogwood · 28/09/2014 17:52

Paris Hilton made a comment about her old bum
Grin
That just made my grin Grin

And, what?
She's got a baby in that bum?
It'd be roomy enough...

FrankSpencer · 28/09/2014 18:47

She looks like she's wearing tots bots.
