I'm new to this. After a lifetime of long hair, I've had it all chopped off. Now I find that's hair does nothing. Just lies there, vaguely soft and fuzzy.

I want something that will give it a bit of lift. Not stuff or rigid (I remember Ultimate Hold in the 80s - no thanks!). Perhaps something that I can squash a hat onto and then ruffle up during the day? I also want to be able to make my hair look like locks - is that what's called 'definition'?

So which product do I use? There's so much choice, and I don't understand any of it!

I like 'shock waves mess constructor' it doesn't seem as sticky as some products I've tried previously.
