I may be a little obsessed with foot maintenance and I have used EVERYTHING including footner but I have just received the absolute HG foot file ever! Nothing compares .....they are even softer than after a visit to the chiropodist! Amazing!!!

honeypie10 · 26/09/2014 14:22

Im obsessed with my feet at the moment too, but am loving the listerine/white vinegar foot soak recipe after ignoring it for too long. I gave it a go then my chiropody sponge. feet have never looked so good!

summerlovingliz · 26/09/2014 14:29

Just read the reviews! I am ordering one tonight. Thanks OP Smile

This is WAY better than the chiropody sponge, honestly, 2 minutes is all it takes. Best foot file ever!

I've just bought the soap and glory one, now this appears!!

Coumarin · 27/09/2014 02:35

It looks like a cheese grater but I'm interested.

Does it feel like you're grating your feet rather than filing them?

I was very disappointed in the S&G file. It's ok but not as spectacular as hoped. Love Footner.

BringMeTea · 27/09/2014 05:02

Ok. I had a pedegg, it was utter crap, left feet all chewed up. Bought the micro pedi, good but requires constant new batteries. Bought the Margaret Dabbs file as someone rated it on here. Good but needs the strips replacing too often. Is this the file to beat all?

Please report back if you buy it. Thank you.

googietheegg · 27/09/2014 05:26

What's the vinegar soak please? Just neat vinegar?!!

Alwaysrushingaround · 27/09/2014 05:30

Marking place x

TeenageMutantNinjaTurtle · 27/09/2014 05:37

Place marking too. I have hideous feet Grin

DoristheCamel · 27/09/2014 05:50

my feet are in a terrible state after 3 weeks of camping and no footfile.
Can anyone tell me what the listetine/vinegar soak is please?

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 27/09/2014 05:50

It's a bit dear for a foot file though isn't it? But if its worth it...

DontDrinkAndFacebook · 27/09/2014 06:01

how does this differ from any other microplane?

Well it usually only gets used for parmesan so I doubt that any cross contamination will be much of a problem. Grin

Cahu5 · 27/09/2014 10:14

It does feel a bit more grating than filing but I have the best result that I have ever had and I've had them all. After filing I find that if I'm not doing it every day they deteriorate again but a week later the soles of my feet are still pink and soft. Footner didn't get rid of the hard patch on the edge of my heel in the summer, this is so much better. Iiked the chiropody sponge but the soaking is a bit inconvenient.

I received mine today to replace my worn out file. It is amazing and I have now got rid off all the horrible dead skin on my heels that built up while I was on holiday. I actually had to be quite careful that I didn't scrape too much off which was never a problem with my old file. Thanks for the recommendation!

Cahu5 · 30/09/2014 20:45

Pleased you're pleased Dexter! As I said I've used them all and the softness has always required very regular upkeep. Nearly 2 weeks later my feet are still baby soft and Ive done nothing else to them....No flexitol or even body lotion.....

I've been a Microplane foot file gal for years - the best bit is that the accumulated detritus is so satisfyingly awful that you can easily persuade pedi-phobic men to do something about their gnarly feet. They end up fascinated by the piles of dead skin. Hardest part is making them stop before they've cheerily grated their hooves to stumps.
